Cadence is a one-person business. I'm the bookkeeper, and I live and work here in Johnstown.

How I got here

I've been a music teacher, a Director of Music Operations at a dinner theatre, and an Account Manager at Apple. Each of those jobs taught me something I still use, especially staying organized under pressure and explaining things clearly to the people counting on me.

When I moved into accounting, it clicked. My day-to-day work is hands-on in QuickBooks Online: multi-location reporting, inventory reconciliations, and monthly closes. I love taking messy books and making them clean.

I started Cadence because I saw a lot of small business owners struggling to keep up with their books while they were busy running everything else. I want to be the person who takes that off their plate.

Why Cadence?

In music, a cadence is the point where a phrase resolves and everything lands where it should. In bookkeeping, it's the rhythm that keeps a business running: the monthly close, regular reconciliations, and books that stay up to date.

How I work

A few things you can expect from me:

I explain things in everyday language. If a report doesn't make sense, I'll walk you through it.
Your fee is a flat monthly amount, written down up front, and it isn't based on hours.
Your books get closed on the same schedule every month.
When you have a question, you talk to me, the person who actually does your books.
